There have been countless stage and screen adaptations of Mary Wollstonecraft Shelley's masterful horror novel, Frankenstein, since its initial publication in 1818. Tuesday saw the trailer for the latest, entitled Victor Frankenstein

A hirsute Daniel Radcliffe and buzz-cut James McAvoy—no doubt prepping to return to his Professor X wheelchair for X-Men: Apocalypse—introduce the trailer for their latest film, which puts a spin on the original by telling the mad doctor's story from the point of view of his long-suffering assistant Igor.

Victor Frankenstein was written by Max Landis (son of famed comedy director John Landis, who knows a thing or two about horror) and directed by Paul McGuigan, who helmed the best episodes of BBC's Sherlock update with Benedict Cumberbatch. Based on this trailer, the film looks like a gothic good time at the movies.
