Mark Gatiss is looking conspiratorial in the latest pictures to be released for BBC Tudor drama Wolf Hall.
The cast photos for the BBC1 adaptation feature the Sherlock star in fur-lined black robes and a rather peculiarly-shaped hat.
Gatiss plays Thomas Cromwell's rival Bishop Stephen Gardiner in the BBC drama, adapted from the novels by Hilary Mantel.
New photos also show Homeland star Damian Lewis as the royal lothario King Henry VIII, a careworn Thomas Cromwell (Mark Rylance), and Claire Foy as the calculating Anne Boleyn.
Author Hilary Mantel has seen the adaptation, and "loves it" according to producer Colin Callender.
The drama is set to air early next year.
